Leigh-Anne and Jason's festival wedding at Pengenna Manor

Jason proposed to Leigh-Anne while the couple were staying in a luxury shepherd's hut following a decadent champagne picnic. 'We then had a celebratory evening meal at Nathan Outlaw's fish kitchen,' says Jason. 'Leigh-Anne had no clue!'

Continuing the wild outdoorsy theme for their wedding, they hosted their celebrations in the idyllic grounds of Pengenna Manor, which housed two stunning giant hat tipis, while the meadow was scattered with luxury bell tents as their guests' accommodation. 'Guests arrived on the Friday to move into their bell tents and we cooked up a big barbecue, played games and generally got merry,' says Leigh-Anne of their wedding weekend.

The Saturday morning featured a joint breakfast with the bride, groom and both sets of parents, which Jason admits was 'very untraditional ' but we wanted to enjoy every moment together!'.

Designing a day with a 'summery, floral, festival' vibe saw every detail combine to set the relaxed, fun-filled mood. The tipis were dressed with a carnival of colourful glassware filled with blooms, while Leigh-Anne teamed her vintage gown with an elaborate headdress of dried flowers.

The ceremony, which took place in the rustic setting of the Cowyard Barn, continued the laid-back vibe of the day. A Scottish piper led the newly-weds from the barn to the tipi reception where guests tucked into drinks and nibbles while amusing themselves with an array of vintage fairground games including a coconut shy and hook-a-duck. Local seafood paella and chilli were devoured for the wedding feast, later followed by sweet delights from a vintage ice cream van and an evening hog roast.

Much drinking and dancing ensued before Leigh-Anne and Jason retired to their luxury bridal bell tent in the same meadow as their guests, waking the next day to enjoy hand-delivered croissants and coffee with them before they departed.

'Our dog Walter was an integral part of the whole weekend. He bundled past the father of the bride as he was trying to walk Leigh-Anne down the aisle!' says Jason of one of the most memorable moments from their day, while Leigh-Anne recalls 'laughing the whole way down the aisle and seeing the look on Jason's face' as one of her fondest memories.

They both share the resounding sentiment that 'just seeing all of our friends and family in the same place having a great time' was a definite highlight, leaving them to dispense their simple advice to other nearly-weds: 'Try to relax and enjoy your preparations.'
