Devon wedding venue, Holne Park House, offers a traditional and idyllic setting in every sense. Nestled on the picturesque southern slopes of Dartmoor and set within 90-acres of ancient woodland, the beautiful manor house epitomises romance and style, and has been host to many traditional weddings.

Recently, the venue has witnessed a surge in the popularity of personal details being added to the mix, with non-traditional touches fused with the traditional setting being all the rage. Always keen to help couples achieve their bespoke best, Holne Park House have observed a tally of recent trends.

Laura Coleman, Wedding Coordinator at Holne Park House, said: "We have seen a real mixed bag of unique touches at the weddings held at our venue this year. One wedding party used the River Dart Country Park estate as their own personal playground. There were several fantastic pictures taken, including one of the bride and groom on the zip wire and one of their whole group posing in the park's trees!

"People have used various methods of transport to get to our venue, including time travel and one extremely brave bride journeyed to her wedding in a canoe along the River Dart. It was a truly beautiful way to arrive and made us all feel like we were attending a Venetian wedding."

"A groom's party wore superhero t-shirts under their shirts. Again, they had fantastic pictures taken of them seemingly ripping their shirts open to reveal the superhero within!

"We are always excited to hear about unique ideas - personal touches really add something special to a couples' wedding day and make for excellent photographs! We are always happy to assist couples with their ideas and we can't wait to hear the next one!"
