FREE SPIRIT

This issue, we dream a little dream of bohemian beauty and ethereal gowns, secret retreats tucked away in heavenly glades, hazy nostalgia, pastel blooms and delicious ice cream.

Lovelane Caravans is the perfect place to start. Nestled in a remote corner of the Lizard, the cluster of retro caravans and hippie buses provided a brilliantly eclectic backdrop for our bohemian bridal special. 'Groovy Kind of Love' is a whimsical celebration of free-spirited fashion, where ethereal chiffon meets the coolest bridal jewellery. And, on a balmy May day, we relished our time wandering the secret gardens, wisteria-draped nooks and blossom-cloaked orchards of Lantallack - the picture-perfect setting to capture gowns lavished in frothy tulle and luxe lace in 'Sunshine of Your Love.'

With my own wedding looming ever closer, I can relate to every bride's desire to look the very image of radiance come the wedding day. While the sheer happiness of the occasion goes a long way in delivering that wonderful glow we all crave, it certainly doesn't hurt to have a little help along the way. The beauty, fitness and nutrition experts deliver the lowdown on top-to-toe gorgeousness in 'Some Body to Love.'

As this issue's breathtaking selection of real weddings reveal, couples are growing increasingly creative with their wedding decor. We serve up some downright delicious ideas this issue. See 'Sweet Dreams' for our jelly and ice cream themed decor, which was as tasty as it was pretty! It's at time like this - when I'm tucking into an ice cream sundae on a rainy Thursday afternoon - that I realise quite how much I love running a wedding magazine. This love deepened further on a visit to The Bay Hotel in Newquay where I enjoyed a day of chocolate and cocktail making - see my verdict and the latest on the crafty hen trend in 'Make, Do and Hens'.

Finally, big thanks to those of you who came to the Wed Show. It was an awesome day. I hope the show - and this latest issue - inspires some breathtakingly beautiful weddings!
