Classical Strings has the sweet-sounding solution for your wedding music

Are you one of those couples who has ‘our song’, but doesn’t really know how to weave it into your special day? For those tunes that might not seem wedding appropriate – or perhaps you feel it’s not romantic or suitable enough to match the theme of your day – the string quartet at Classical Strings has the sweet-sounding solution.

“I am often asked by a couple to arrange their favourite song for strings, as the song in its original form is too overpowering or has instruments or vocal lines in it that just aren’t a good fit for the more formal atmosphere of a wedding ceremony,” explains Sue Aston of Classical Strings.

“A recent commission I had was to arrange Hooked on a Feeling by Blue Swede. The original song had a trumpet solo and some chanting on the song that the bride felt was not romantic enough for her to make her entry to! I arranged the song for strings so that the trumpet melody featured in the violin part and the string harmonies created a lush, Bridgerton vibe,” she adds. “Another commission was for a groom who loved the song Omen by The Prodigy. The vibe of the original was rather menacing, but after I had arranged it, it sounded rhythmic, dynamic and altogether much more in keeping for a wedding ceremony!”

In addition, Classical Strings also has a professional recording studio, so once your song has been arranged, it can be recorded for you to play again and again, wherever you are in the world, making for a perfect anniversary or wedding present.
