"Solid in my foundations,

silhouetted against the periphery of my horizon,
Your shape stepped against the skies
re-shaped my landscape.
You are always, in all ways, the sea-breeze I need.
We are magpies searching for glinting things
we are best at dusk when the sun is a heavy light.
We weather storms breaking and we spend time tracing
outlines of strange cloud formations.
We are magpies sorrow - joy, girl - boy, silver - gold
and secrets, such secrets that sugar - dust our inky sky
then reflected, in rock pools."
