Bohemian brides at The Bridal House of Cornwall

It might have been a dark winter’s night but, at the launch of Claire Pettibone’s new Romantique collection at The Bridal House of Cornwall in Truro, the promise of long, dreamy days swathed in whimsical lace and beautifully bohemian style hung in the air.
As dresses from the acclaimed US designer made their first foray into Cornwall, there was much excitement amongst the brides-to-be and local wedding industry representatives that had gathered for a glimpse of the gowns. Models sashayed through the elegant Georgian rooms of the boutique wearing the hand-picked designs, accessorised with garlands and handmade jewellery for an almost Pre-Raphaelite vibe.
Aptly entitled ‘The Bohemian Rhapsody Collection’, Claire Pettibone has drawn on visions of English gardens, Moroccan villas, soft light and lavender fields to create the exquisite dresses. Crafted from dainty floral laces, luxe silks and feather-light chiffon with standout details such as silk flowers and portrait backs, the range of silhouettes - from empire lines to mermaid cuts - makes for a versatile and oh-so gorgeous collection.
