"For this styled shoot, we wanted to bring together the most important elements of this listed Georgian folly, its natural surroundings, elegance and romance," explains stylist, Claire Johnson. "Ferns were collected in abundance and a striking palette of purple and pale pink with touches of old gold stood up to the striking listed building, flint grey stone outbuildings and charming King's bridge."
A selection of soft, full and oh-so romantic dresses were teamed with natural hair styling to create a timeless look for the bride, while rose quartz earrings set in old gold made a fresh and palette-pleasing alternative to diamante and pearls. For the groom, meanwhile, a mid-grey lounge suit, pink silk tie and smart grey chequered waistcoat - a nod to the country location - balanced classic elegance with modern tailoring.
Located in Haldon Belvedere's light-filled ballroom, the glorious dessert table - complete with a showstopping donut wedding cake, two side cakes, donut pops and sugared bonbons - was a feast for the senses. The folly's distinctive stone spiral staircase was lit and dressed with ferns, flowers and glass hurricanes to complete the truly magical mood.
