THE WONDER STUFF

Welcome to Wed's bridal fashion extravaganza. From dreamy veils to lust-worthy shoes, we've scoured the length and breadth of Devon to bring you this fashion feast of an issue.

It's a really exciting time for bridal wear in Devon. Gorgeous new boutiques are opening, bridal shops are full to the brim with fresh-from-the-catwalk collections and a new wave of innovative dressmakers are crafting exquisite bespoke gowns across the county. Although I've seen a fair few wedding dresses since we launched Wed Magazine, never have I been so excited by the dresses currently gracing the rails. It's a perfect time to head out there and find 'the one'. Just as well I'm freshly engaged and get to start looking for a gown myself!

The gorgeous creations of one such new boutique are showcased in 'Love Divine'. Kate Walker Bridal is an emporium of bridal delights in Honiton. Shot in the sunshine at Kitley House Hotel, feast your eyes on some of the boutique's most gloriously romantic creations; think dramatic silhouettes, frothy tulle and ruffles teamed with daringly distinctive headwear.

Captured on the pebbled shores of Budleigh Salterton beach, 'Amazing Grace' is pure eye candy for vintage aficionados. From original Edwardian and Victorian pieces to ethereal 1920s and '30s inspired frocks, pick your perfect era and let the fashion fun begin! Don't miss our guide to sourcing your fantasy vintage ensemble in 'A Vintage Love Story'.

You're going to need a special venue to complement your fabulous bridal attire. Take a peek inside some of Devon's most enchanting settings, from fairytale castles to charming Elizabethan manor houses, in 'Ode to Romance'.

The sensory pleasures don't end there. I enjoyed a delicious day at Western House, a pretty country bolt-hole nestled in the countryside of South Devon, shooting our food special 'A Taste of Devon' with the team from Antonia's Kitchen. See the results on p.74.

And I've been blown away by the dreamy real weddings in this issue's 'Got Wed'. Prepare to be inspired by some uplifting love stories and pretty parties.
