Top tips from The Rosevine

Here, the venue shares its top five style tips of the moment...

"Early summer is peak wedding season at the Rosevine - so you find us sweeping up the flower petals and packing away the champagne flutes as we wave goodbye to the last bridal party and their friends until later in the year. Now is the time to reflect on the wonderful events we have hosted and to think about how we can use our experience to help you plan your big day.

Each Rosevine wedding is both beautiful and unique so we would hate to generalise but some tips work for everyone whatever the vibe you’re creating. So, from country chic to casual beach here’s our top 5 from 2015:

1. Use a colour coded master plan behind the scenes to help you keep track of your guests’ requirements – working with your venue to let them know not only where everyone is sitting but whether they have special dietary requirements or child's portions. Pretty table plans are for front of house only – this is military!

2 One idea we’ve liked this year is Polaroid style place cards. The slightly washed out polaroid look is very retro – very now. This bunch will take your photos and re-do them in polaroid style so that each guest gets a pic of themselves!

3. Visit your venue on the same weekend the year before your wedding day. It will allow you to fully imagine the day and check things like how the gardens look when all the leaves are out and the flowers are in bloom.

4. Put some old pictures of loved relatives from both families on a side table – it’s a nice touch to include those who can’t be there in your day.

5. Remember - sometimes less is more - the best weddings have a beautiful simplicity that let the bride and groom take centre stage. Don’t over- complicate things."
