Stunning new cake collection by Peboryon

Due to increased demand for their delicious Cornish cakes, the people at Peboryon have just launched their first, and might we add - utterly spellbinding - collection.

Influenced by the beautiful myriad of colours, contours and locations in the southwest, The Duchy Collection features brilliant bakes named after the places that inspired them (Peboyron takes its name from the Cornish word for ‘baker’, after all).

Owners Christine and Phil Jensen wanted to give couples the choice of a ‘prêt-à-porter’ range of designs, alongside their custom couture work - with the added option of each Collection cake being tailored to the exact size and colour scheme of each couples' celebration.

At the launch event (which was managed by Hazel Parsons), a sparkling list of invited guests from the wedding world braved the storms to gather for cake canapés. Remarkable houses and hotels were represented, event planners, chefs, photographers, editors, press, bloggers and other talented suppliers also travelled through the rain to view the new designs and enjoy Peboryon’s six, lip-smacking signature flavours.

“It was exciting to see some of Cornwall’s well known pastry chefs and acclaimed caterers tucking into our cakes - after all, what’s inside is the most important bit!” said Christine, who spoke with the guests about the farms, dairies and landscape that supply the amazing produce they bake, create and deliver nationwide.

“To have folk who are leaders in the wedding industry saying such amazing things about our cakes - we feel thoroughly grateful. Our belief is that we can bring just as much joy to every couple we work with, whether they’re getting wed in London, Launceston or Lancaster,” she added.
