Stunning seasonal engagement shoot

Capturing the essence of autumn within a spectacular country setting, Jennifer Jane Photography recently staged a very special shoot for newly engaged lovebirds, Beth and Matthew.

Primary school teacher Matthew and midwife Beth met at University in Warwick, where their shared love of the theatre sparked their student romance.

"It was a beautiful summer's day and we were out on Dartmoor walking along the river Meavy, near his family's home," reveals Beth of her proposal. "We'd just stopped by the water to admire the view and when I turned around he was down on one knee with a beautiful ring held out! It was perfect."

The couple will be celebrating during an extended weekend-long wedding at Devon Yurt Camp, which perfectly matches their desire for somewhere relaxed and less formal with a natural theme to it that they can easily personalise.

In keeping with the settings of the proposal and wedding, the pair asked Jennifer for a similar scene for their engagement shoot, who instantly thought that Knightshayes in Tiverton would be ideal.

"I take my dog Riley up there for walks and it offers so much in terms of a variety of backdrops: beautiful gardens, the lovely large lake out the front amid the rolling grounds, fields with animals grazing - not to mention the stunning woodlands to walk through," she explains. "It's an amazing place to spend a little time and definitely brought out the romance in Beth and Matthew", she adds.
