Real Wedding at Roserrow Golf & Country Club

Fun In The Sun

Although Rachel and Frank first met ten years ago, it wasn’t until six years later that they got together. Hailing from Southampton, their guests decamped to Roserrow for their wedding and spent a glorious few days in the Cornish sunshine.

The styling was as pretty as it was stylish: the stationery through to the flowers carried a butterflies theme, while the colour scheme blended sage green with soft pink accents.

Rachel was delighted to wake to blue skies on the wedding day. Making her entrance through a stunning archway arrangement of flowers, Rachel and Frank took their vows in the atmospheric church, scented by an abundance of lilies and gerberas. After an emotional ceremony, the couple took some time out to themselves on Daymer Bay and paddled in the shallows before returning to Roserrow.

The food went down a treat. Roserrow’s head chef Ryan Tomkins more than cut the culinary mustard with the delectable array of dishes, which included the likes of breaded Cornish brie with sweet chutney and dressed leaves to start, rib eye steak and pan-fried local sea bass with basil beurre blanc for the main course followed by Eton mess and a to-die-for chocolate fondant.

“The view over the golf course out to sea was amazing,” reflects Rachel, “and the sunset cast a gorgeous orange light on us during our first dance.” A “brilliant set of speeches” and a groovy party, which saw some “memorable dance moves” from the grooms’ party, rounded off a fantastic day.

“Don’t worry about the tiny details,” Rachel advises. “A friend commented that it wasn’t the beautiful little touches that made the day – it was the setting, the company, the atmosphere and the love that they saw between us on the day – something I’ll remember forever!” She adds, “Video the service and the speeches. I picked up on so much that I had missed or forgotten so it’s lovely to have that to relive it for years to come.”
