Enchanted woodland style at Dartington Hall

An abundance of blooms, gorgeous glassware and gold accessories combine in this enchanted woodland styled shoot at Dartington Hall

Dartington Hall is the largest medieval manor house in the West of England, with an impressive 14th century Great Hall and idyllic gardens and grounds, making the perfect location for this enchanted woodland styled shoot.

The shoot took place in the iconic Great Hall and using Dartington’s traditional wooden feasting table as the focal point. The Great Hall boasts dramatic high ceilings, original leaded windows, oak hammered beams, wooden floors and an impressive grand fireplace.

The venue worked closely with a team of stylists to create the chosen look. Unique Designs by Tina positioned large blossom trees on the stage in the hall alongside the Moongate Arch which had been positioned in front of the large fireplace. It looked stunning and made a very romantic backdrop for a wedding ceremony. The arch was styled with very soft pink roses to match the tree blossom.

The magnificent feasting table was dressed with moss and pink blossom trees, with gold accessories around the tree bases to help show off the pale pink roses in the flower displays. ‘Enchanted woodland’ themed accessories added extra character and depth to the theme, creating a wonderful and interactive tablescape.

Coloured glassware on the tables allowed the vast amount of light available in the hall to be emphasised; while Keeping It Vintage worked to create a style that fitted exactly with the brief, providing coloured glassware, gold cutlery and chargers to create a decadent table setting.
