Perched high on a hill in the woods overlooking the river valley, the elaborate building enjoys sweeping views across the North Devon countryside and towards the main house of Castle Hill.
Built in 1771, the temple marries a romantic, Roman-inspired exterior with a rustic and beautifully individual interior. Exposed stone walls and wooden floors set the scene for windowsills of fresh flowers catching the sun streaming in, while flickering candlelight will make the evening dance with atmosphere. Accommodating 60 guests for a ceremony and up to 100 for a reception, a marquee can also be set up for larger weddings.
