Brendan grew up close to the shores of Whitsand Bay - hence the couple were keen to infuse their wedding with a laidback beach vibe.
The endlessly personal and fun-fuelled celebration saw many family
members and friends getting involved in the preparations, whether it
was baking pies or decorating the marquee. Sian and her father even
grew many of the flowers used in the arrangements.
On the morning of the August wedding, Brendan hit the surf with his ushers while Sian prepared for the ceremony. The beautiful setting of Rame Church was bathed in glorious sunshine as the ceremony began, while a local male voice choir made an atmospheric soundtrack. On emerging from the church as Mr and Mrs, the couple were greeted with a surfboard guard of honour.
Presented rather appropriately in a rowing boat, the champagne was promptly swigged before the party made their way to Kingsand Community Centre where Brendan and a team of friends had decorated a marquee the previous day.

The buffet comprised a feast of hearty delights, including an array of hot pies and salad courtesy of the couple's friends. Enhancing the beach theme, the driftwood was enscribed with guests' names in calligraphy by one of Sian's bridesmaids and placed on each table.

Friends and family were involved right down to the entertainment, as Brendan and Sian's fathers provided some folk tunes to warm up for the evening festivities. Local funk band, Freshly Squeezed Life, lent a groovy gusto to the party and the dance floor well and truly rocked into the night.

Sian trashed her dress in style the following morning by running into the water off Whitsand Bay before throwing a barbeque for their guests. The couple shortly left for a dream honeymoon in Brazil.
