A collusion of fate triggered Victoria and Mike’s first meeting when their worlds collided during a night out that neither should have been attending. Numbers were exchanged and romance flourished, culminating in a vibrant waterside wedding.
Victoria, her parents and bridesmaids spent the morning of the wedding preparing in style, enjoying some pampering and champagne. The pretty party was ready for the off in a cream Daimler whilst the groom and best man arrived in similarly cool mode via an Aston Martin.
The service was held at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Falmouth where family friend and Deacon, Paul Reddington, conducted affairs. “It was personal and perfect”, comments Victoria, who wore a show-stopping Maggie Sottero gown.

The newlyweds headed off for a photo shoot on Gyllyngvase Beach before meeting and greeting guests at St Michael’s Hotel and Spa for a lavish reception. The venue was vibrantly tied into the purple colour scheme, where floral arrangements by Designer Wedding Flowers stunned everyone with an artistic array of enormous orchids and vivid hues.

The wedding breakfast consisted of a trio of melon or tomato and basil soup, roast Cornish beef with Yorkshire pudding, vegetables and red wine jus, roasted salmon with crushed potatoes, spinach and saffron beurre, and blanc cumin roasted butternut squash and sweet potato with fruity couscous and tzatziki. Sticky toffee pudding or glazed lemon tart with clotted cream was the feast’s finger-licking finale.

Speeches followed the food, where Victoria’s father, the groom and best man Carl delivered emotive orations, despite their nerves. There was some time to mingle before the evening party began, which allowed the couple to step out and schmooze with their loved ones.

Kernow Entertainment provided the pair with Jay Washington and Baseline DJ. “Both were fantastic and had the guests dancing all night. Jay was outstanding and a few guests thought it was a CD!”

Mike and Victoria honeymooned for two weeks in the Dominican Republic, “We switched off completely and enjoyed the relaxation after the busy build up! It was pure paradise.”

Victoria offers some advice to other couples: “Spend time researching photographers, make up artists, cars, florists, entertainment etc. We were delighted with every single person that helped make our day so special. They were all so helpful during the planning and at the wedding, which meant we could just completely relax and enjoy the most special day of our lives.”
