Welcome to one loved-up instalment of Wed Magazine! Yes, we’re revelling in romance this issue. You’ll find dreamy dresses and helplessly romantic décor; Devon’s fresh-from-a-storybook wedding venues and unique, tucked-away spots for a magical mini moon. We look at communicating your love via the sentiment-loaded words of the readings and the vows; and we even showcase the most gorgeous heart-shaped ideas for a celebration spilling over with sweet, starry-eyed touches.

Our bridal fashion story, ‘Love is in the Air’, sets the mood. We loved every moment of our day exploring the picture-perfect grounds of the Deer Park Country House Hotel, where we shot a selection of dresses which evoke modern romance – think light, wispy chiffon and delicate lace finished with a soft and stunning medley of blooms. After a long day’s shooting, we enjoyed an unforgettable stay in the hotel’s new tree house – see our verdict in our honeymoons feature, ‘A Love Less Ordinary.’

Brimming with stunning florals, exquisite cakes and vintage lace, our styled shoots, ‘A Fine Romance’, shot in the elegant climes of Pynes House, and ‘Softly Does It’, showcase pared back and pretty takes on the theme of modern romance with a stylish nod to the past. ‘The Golden Age’, meanwhile, takes the 1930s as its cue for a show-stopping celebration shot in the grand setting of Plymouth’s Duke of Cornwall Hotel.

And this loved-up issue would not be complete without a ‘Got Wed’ special. Featuring more real weddings than ever before, go grab a cuppa and lose yourself in these gorgeous love stories. From magical Christmas weddings and elegant country celebrations to laidback love on the coast of North Devon, meet the couples who said ‘I do’ in brilliantly individual – and oh-so romantic – style.
