Wedding Jam at Enys House
Article Published: Friday 22nd April, 2016 - 1:20pm
A rare hidden gem concealed within the countryside between Falmouth and Truro, Enys Gardens are considered to be some of the very oldest in Cornwall. Largely unspoiled and tranquil with an air of mystery, the gardens have previously hosted wedding celebrations in marquees on the historic grass tennis court. The estate is now opening the main house for private events for the first time, giving couples the opportunity to celebrate their wedding day at a unique and historic venue.
The ongoing process of restoration encourages guests to explore the layers of period architecture that are visible through stone archways and masonry, the bare plaster revealing voids within the very walls of the structure. Authentic features include the library with its original bookcases, warming stone fireplace, wooden floors and the entrance hall leading to the grand central staircase.
Explore this enchanting venue for yourself on Sunday 12th June from 11am, when Enys Gardens will be teaming up with NS Events and Bars to host Wedding Jam, a creative and inspirational wedding event featuring live music from The Grace Notes and a host of ideas to make your wedding extraordinary. And the added bonus? Those attending will get the chance to enter a competition to win a half price wedding celebration at Enys Gardens in September 2017, while special offers from Cornwall Conveniences, Ashley Events, The Grace Notes, NS Events and many more suppliers will also be available.
